It is no longer something I should do, wish I could do, got to find time too…
I am Doing It!
There is nothing more freeing than that. And the inches are flying off, my skinny clothes are starting to fit, and I love the way I am stronger and more toned than I ever have been. No more Flabby Ab-ies for me! I have never tried any exercise or nutrition program before. I have gone through phases of eating healthy and eating horribly. I’ve read a few nutrition books which led me in the right direction for healthy eating when I chose to do it. But I would quickly succumb to buying and making the “easy” meals. - I thought healthy eating all the time was too hard and expensive. - The only exercise I have done is to walk 30 minutes a day…for a few days. I first found Holly’s FYM handbook in 2007 when I was looking for exercises on the Internet. I had two children and a small belly pooch left over after baby #2. However, with growing our business from scratch, and as cheaply as possible, I just could not afford the cost for the program. I bookmarked the website and visited it frequently to re-read the testimonials and see if the price had changed! On Christmas Eve ‘07 we found out that I was pregnant with baby #3! It was very exciting to say the least but I did have a lot of fears about what my body would be like after the pregnancy especially because I had heard it wasn’t as easy to bounce back as you get older and have more children. I found Holly’s blog in January 08 and signed up for her emails. After I had Anna in August 08 I waited for the weight to come off with breastfeeding. Some did, but I was left with a whopping 20 lbs that didn’t just melt away. I wasn’t doing anything to help lose the weight but it had come off by itself while breastfeeding my other two so I was in great dismay when a full year later I still had about 15 lbs to go. That brings me to August 12, 2009. Although I am extremely frugal and find it hard to buy anything for myself, especially “just a book”, I decided to buy the Fit Yummy Mummy Handbook with some gift money I had been given. Let me tell you, it was the best thing I could have bought with that money. It was truly a gift to me, the gift of health! I have always thought, “I need to exercise, I need to eat healthy, I need to be fit”. But I never knew HOW to! Fit Yummy Mummy was such a relief because I finally had somebody telling me exactly what to do. That is what I needed. Today marks the end of my 4th week doing Fit Yummy Mummy. Results? Oh yeah! I felt better after a couple weeks, thought I looked better after the third, and KNEW I looked better after the fourth! My jeans are loose, I have an overall “slimmer” look! I’m starting to actually enjoy my workouts. It was hard at first to get into them. They were really challenging and I didn’t know if I would have the self-discipline to keep doing them. But I did it anyway. I love all the healthy foods so that wasn’t as hard. It was simply a matter of making sure only healthy foods where in the house. This is something I CAN do, and something I can live with. So, here are my measurements 4 weeks in: Gone: 1 inch – from bum 1 inch- from thighs (each) 1 inch – from arms (each) 1.5 inches – from waist 2 inches – from mommy belly Total inches gone: 8.5 Total pounds gone: 7 YIPPEE! After only 4 weeks?? I’m hooked! Thank you so much for this program that I can do, and it actually works!! On the down side, we just found out that my Mom has ovarian cancer in the 3rd stage. She is 60 yrs old. It has been a really rough time but we are hanging in there. I have continued to eat supportively, something I found my body absolutely requires!! And I am still doing my exercises, thankfully they only take 15 minutes so I can fit them in before I start running around and making calls to family and all.     Congratulations! You are an inspiration! Great Work! I really encourage you to keep exercising and eating a good diet through your Mom’s illness. Exercising is the best way to handle stress and we know that stress affects our belly fat. Plus you will be better able to support your family if you take care of yourself and 15 minutes a day is not alot to ask of every one. Good luck and God Bless

    That’s just fantastic. I am also quite jealous. I cannot use my visa card becuase i am outside canada. But I get my inspiration from all you yummy mummies. I religiously read the daily emails and and blogs. I am trying to create my own workout program using Holly’s exercises. It’s obviously not as effective as having the yummy mummy program but it is working slowly for me.
