Crank Up Your Cardio Results
How about a few examples to help see just how effective intervals can be for achieving FAST fat loss results!
Interval Examples
No treadmill required
Studies -as well as countless testimonials of Cardio Queens – prove high intensity cardio workouts “Intervals” can provide all of the following fitness benefits:
* dramatically boosted metabolism – both during AND after exercise * faster rate of body fat-to-energy conversion * preserves lean muscle (muscle is your metabolism – you do not what to lose this!) * significant increase in aerobic capacity (Max VO2) = increased endurance and stamina
The Main Reason Why we love Intervals
As busy women, we just do not have the TIME to spend an hour a day 6 to 7 days each and every week on the treadmill. If you can get it done in a matter of minutes AND feel an amazing amount of energy -YOU will KEEP Doing It – this is a realistic plan that lends to the ease of being consistent! So you solve you “I just can’t stick to it” problem!

Hi there,
Mae
Question – I injured my back and sciatic nerve a few wks ago. Any ideas for intervals that don’t involve the legs/back? In time I hope to be back to my regular schedule but it may be a while and I really need to do something in the meantime! Thanks for any help/direction.
As soon as I get my own computer set up again Holly, I’ll be downloading the soundtracks and using your guide
Can’t wait….another thing to look forward too other than my new house!!! Miss you all at ClubFYM…be back soon!!
Hi Mae,
If you are recovering from an injured back you really need to discuss your options with your Dr.
I would not suggest intervals for they are intense.
You can still get fabulous results by following a full body resistance training plan and supportive nutrition plan – especially with a back injury – whole foods are the best way to go for they will fill your body with the essential nutrients you need to help expedite recovery.
Take care!
Miss you too Julie!!!!
Can’t wait to see photos of your HOUSE!
I am interested in the download but would like to hear a sample of the music and cueing. Could you post a short sample? Thanks!
Hey Janet – yes, I have the sound guys working on a sample to add to the http://www.FYMIntervals page.
As soon as it is up I will be sure to mention it in the Fit Yummy Mummy newsletter.
Great reminders. Not sure about the FYM love Burpees comment…lol…but I know what your getting at! Thanks Holly!
Holly this is great.
Thank you so MUCH
I’m “borrowing” your vid for my blog tommorow!! Funnily enough this was what I had planned to tell my readers 2moro, but you said it sooooo well I’m going to direct them here!
I truly believe in Intervals and was psyched to download mp3 music to go with it. The problem is that I was so excited, I paid for and downloaded only the beginner interval mp3. How can I go about getting the inter. and advanced mp3s without paying for the portion I just purchased. Thanks for your help. Excited to use the music.

Yay!!!! This is exactly what I need. Thank you! I am loving your program. I have 3 girls all under the age of 3. I can actually do this workout with them and I am getting great results. Love it!!!!!
Thanks Holly for all the great information. I have one more option, and this is the one that I find the most effective, and that is stair running. Many of us live in high rises or work there so have access. This is serious cardio and works your legs and butt to the max. I have set myself a goal, the Empire State Building Stair Run is 1,576 stairs and this year the fastest woman did it in about 13.5 minutes (even with the crush to get in to the stair case). This is equivalent to 3 times the stairs in my building. I can go up and down in about 21 mins but want to do it in 19 mins.
I vary the pattern using either a 1 minute up and 30 seconds down for about 12 to 15 minutes or the full on “Empire State Run”. I thought I was fit before but I have had significant improvement in both fitness and muscle tone. I mix this up with a skipping rope, mountain climbers and wind sprints.
Hello!
I´d love it if you could address the topic of heart training zones and what these should be when working with intervals, so that the workout is challenging enough, and also safe. Thanks!
These are great video. Thank you, Holly. They are great reminders of the things we can do. I love them.
