Deirdre Celebrates Two Successful Years as a Fit Yummy Mummy
“About three years ago I decided I needed to do something to get in shape. I thought running would be the answer and started a training program. A year later I was running A LOT but not loosing weight or gaining muscle. In fact I was gaining weight! As a wife and mother of three boys, I was very frustrated with the lack of results versus the amount of time I was investing.

"I'm Half My Size!"

half my size “I have gone from a size 12 to size 6 – woohoo!! Never been there before in my LIFE!” Kathy’s hiking trip allowed her to reflect upon how far she has come with her Fit Yummy Mummy Transformation. The Freedom of Losing It by Kathy Zachry “Two days last week my husband and I went on an overnight hiking trip to a rustic lodge which can only be reached by hiking or horseback. This is nothing unusual for us, as we have been avid hikers for almost 30 years. For this trip, we just had to pack our personal items and lunches – linens and food were provided at the lodge. So, we carried our ‘day-and-a-half’ backpacks. It dawned on me as we were hiking that the load I was carrying on my back was probably about equal to the weight I have lost over the past year with Fit Yummy Mummy. I decided that when I got home I would weigh my pack and see how much it was. Well, it was about 25lbs of gear in the pack.

Barbara is Jane Hale’s Mom – the grand prize winner of the New Year’s Transformation Challenge ~ Jane Hale Has Bikini Confidence Losing Over 21 lbs of fat, 21 inches and A Dress Size! Jane’s amazing transformation inspired her mom to check out Fit Yummy Mummy and join her daughter in the Summer Transformation Challenge. Her reason for joining….”After having won the first leg of my battle against Lymphoma (becoming cancer free with chemotherapy), I feel that I need to do everything in my power to stay cancer free.” Barbara also listed a number of very powerful goals in her ClubFYM progress journal – here is one that really stood out… I am not going to take the rest of my life for granted. I am taking action to change in order to be the person I want to be. FYM is going to empower me to accomplish my goals and succeed! Then this message is posted in the ClubFYM Forums…my heart dropped, but I was curious as to how this could lead too a “cool story”! “Mom’s in the hospital, but here’s a cool story!” So we’ve had a somewhat scary, suspenseful last few days. My mom, Barby Linnard, who just joined ClubFYM for the Summer Transformation Challenge, and who just last October was declared cancer-free after a serious battle with lymphoma… was admitted to the hospital on Tuesday with complications from the chemotherapy that ended over six months ago!

Lessons You Just Cannot Do Without

lessons+1 Lessons You Just Cannot Do Without “What Have I Learned as a Fit Yummy Mummy?” Shannon put this question out there after reading Allison Bolton’s One Year FYM Anniversary success story. Here’s a small glimpse at what the ladies are posting at ClubFYM.com : ~ I’ve learned that exercises that work big groups of muscles at once are way more effective than spending hours exercising every little muscle group individually. :: Shannon ~ I have learned that I don’t have to settle for the level of fitness I’ve had in the past - I am capable of going further than that! ::Selene ~ I have learned …to trust my body, that this is a journey, to change my life in small steps, that I am in control of my own destiny, to not give up anymore. ::Libby ~ I’ve learned that it’s okay to ask for and receive support when it comes to weight loss and fitness. I don’t have to do it all on my own. ::Shannon ~ I’ve learned that change is difficult but it CAN happen…with wonderful results! ::Christina ~ I learned that I can love myself as much or more than anyone else and that its okay. ::Angela ~ I’ve learned that I can always make a change… I don’t have to be stuck in a certain way of being. I can choose to do something different! ::Lee ~ I’ve learned that you really can get results from exercising for just 15mins a day! And that eating supportively doesn’t mean you have to eat boring food! AND that being part of a support group with the same challenges and goals is a huge key to success! AND that slow and steady really does win the race!! aka the turtle!!!! AND I could just go on and on but will leave room for everyone else…….. :: Karen and the list does go on! So how inspiring and empowering is that!? No matter what fitness plan you decide to follow, I sure hope it has the same impact. You truly deserve all this and more! Your Friend and Coach,
