6 Steps to Pumpkin Carving Fun
I forgot how fun it was to carve a pumpkin ~ appreciate it even more so now that Tyler is older and really gets into it. I can say I am impressed with his artistic abilities. He drew what he wanted the pumpkin to look like and gave me tips as I carved away.
I loved how this activity piqued his curiosity as he was full of questions throughout the process.
Plus we discussed a fun way to keep Halloween Healthy for you and your family!
Enjoy and be sure to let us know if you too carve your own pumpkin!
Be on the lookout for a follow up “How To Make Pumpkin Seeds” video and of course, the exciting Halloween Workout video all next week!

Hint to make lighting the pumpkin easier, cut circle out of the bottom instead of top and set pumpkin over tea light candle or a battery one to be even safer.
I love carving interesting pictures on my pumpkins each year. Just a tip to make it easier, you should get a pumpkin carving tool. You can buy them at the dollar store. The cutting knife is very flexible and it is easy to maneuver when you are cutting. I just posted some pics last night of my past years’ pumpkins on my site, if you would like to take a look.
Carter and I loved the video! And Carter loved the Halloween Fairy picking up his candy and leaving him a surprise. Thanks for that tip! Because I end up eating the candy along with Carter!
I love the pumpkin carving tradition! We’ve kept it going for quite awhile since my daughters were 3 and thought touching pumpkin guts was “icky” to the now teenage years where we love planning new intricate designs.
We eagerly are awaiting your How to make pumpkin seeds video! Can pumpkin seeds really taste good?
Thanks
Tried the Halloween Fairy idea and to my surprise my kids gave up half the candy they received. Thanks for the idea, it will be a new tradition. I will share this with my sisters.
