My background:
Most of the people in my Mom’s family have been overweight or heavy their entire lives. All of the women have the “apple” body shape, and they all seem to think they can’t do anything about it, except starve
themselves!
When I got pregnant in early 2005, I wanted to eat right and make sure I fed my growing baby properly. Then I got an undiagnosed lung affliction (the doctor I saw didn’t know), which I think was chemical pneumonia from cleaning our bathtub (while 3 months pregnant). I had this problem for three months, and couldn’t eat very much (or breathe, or sleep, etc). Then, when it leveled off, my eating was off the charts.
I gained about 65 pounds before it was all over.
Over the next couple of years, the weight trickled off, mostly with missed meals and low caloric intake.
I didn’t feel good, didn’t like myself, and I felt like I was just barely getting through the days. I knew enough about nutrition to eat right, but
I had no willpower or emotional strength to start the process.

Flatter Tummy in the Making!
“Ok…..I thought that I would have a flat stomach, thin thighs, and a small tight booty by now. Hmmm, the photos say I have not reached my goal yet…

However:
~ I feel better.
~ I have more energy.
~ My clothes fit better and have gone down a size (from 14 to 12)
~ I am stronger.
~ I can do exercises now that I could not do 6 weeks ago.

Allison Celebrates her 47th Birthday with 47 Push Ups!
Allison is the mom of 6 – ages 5 to 25 – and you can see her in action, donning her cute pink Fit Yummy Mummy-T as she takes on her goal of 47 push ups to celebrate her 47th birthday last week.
